We have a wonderful covered external seating area for those rainy or chilly days - it is the north after all!

Indoor seating is available and we now have a beautiful new coffee bar in our little shop.  This was made by Jonathan using recycled material from around the farm.  It's a lovely spot to enjoy your coffee sitting on a tractor stool looking across the fields.

All our sausage, bacon and burgers are from our rare breed pigs raised here at Pond Farm and fed with the whey from the cheese making.  You can visit the pigs by following the track up round to the back of the café.

You can see the dairy where the cheese is made through our viewing window – on the right  just before the pigs!

Our menu can change as the seasons change but below is an idea of the kind of cafe we are.  We aim to use our produce, local produce or artisan produce of the highest standard, supporting local wherever possible.

What our customers say

Booked into the weekly Friday evening themed night for tapas, and we were not disappointed! Lovely atmosphere, truly wonderful selection of tapas, executed brilliantly by the kitchen team, and friendly and helpful waiting staff, an all round fabulous night, washed down with local ales and soft drinks.

We met up with family and decided to go wandering looking for a tea room/coffee shop, we came across Teasdale Cheesemakers Cafe. Not knowing what to expect we were pleasantly surprised by the warm friendly welcome. Breakfast buns, bacon baps, along with the tea and coffee was delightful. Lovely selection of cakes too. The views across the dales is spectacular. We bought several pieces of the homemade cheese to bring back to London, my favourite is the Durham Blue and the garlic cheese. A good selection of local delicacies and gifts in the quaint shop. Definitely worth a visit. We will return on our next visit to stock up on local cheeses and of course the Durham Butter.
